Re: homeowner's insurance?
I have Liberty Mutual for my homeowner's and my car insurance and I LOVE them. They had the best rates, and every time I call them they are so extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend them to everyone I would give them a call!
HTH!

Re: homeowner's insurance?
you might not have a choice... a lot of companies aren't writing new ones for long island. I know state farm isn't. I got lucky though because i know the lady who write them. and I think it was all state... not sure, but they were dropping people left and right on long island...

Re: homeowner's insurance?
I recently went through the home insurance process. I think I called EVERY company on long island!!! The cheapest and best quote I got was from jessica at nationwide insurance 631- 851-0101. My rate is rediculously cheap!

Re: homeowner's insurance?
I am in the process of homeowners insurance shopping...I have to have a binder this week so we can schedule a closing date. I am having a hard time with it because we are by the water in a flood zone and a lot of companies are not writing policies.
I have had luck with Travelers and Interboro out of mineola.
I am going to call nationwide right now and find out.
I know you get a better rate if you bundle with companies. (car/homeowners/flood/jewelery...etc.)

Re: homeowner's insurance?
There is no company that offers the best deal for every person. You have to get quotes from different companies online and see which companies can provide you with the best price: http://www.quotes-center.com/home-insurance-calculator

Re: homeowner's insurance?
Do not, whatever you do, go for some random, shady, unknown company simply because they offer you a cheap quote; it will cost you way too much in the long run. Look for a reliable, reputed insurance provider and the most thorough coverage you can afford. I have auto, home and with The Hartford through AARP, and haven’t had any reason to complain so far. Worth checking out.

Re: homeowner's insurance?
We're currently in the process of looking (well more DH...thats his job!). He has been calling various insurance companies and getting quotes. Right now he said the cheapest quote is from State Farm.
