How many place settings did you register for? Im not sure if its 4-5-or 6. Also Im not registering for china or crystal. As a guest (not a bride ) would you think $19 a plate is expensive for an everyday plate? Please be honest, because I think it might be too much and I dont want to look greedy or anything.

I did 8...as far as prices, I think $19 sounds ok. Ours was a Pfaltzgraff set that came all together, so I'm not sure of per plate prices.

We also did Pfaltzgraff, but $19 doesn't sound like a lot. We registered for 16 (YIKES) but if we have just one family there are 13, so we needed to.
We also are not registering for formal china

We did 12 for our Lenox, but we did 8 for everyday. As for the price per plate, I am not positive because the plates I chose came in place settings . . .

I don't think $19 sound like too much. Just compare the full price to comparable sets. :) I will have to do at least 8 probably 12. Only problem with big families!

Mine only came in settings of 4 ...so I ordered two of those. They were about $40-$50 ( depending if on sale) for 4...so at most about $12.00 a setting. Since you are not doing China, I would NOT AT ALL blink an eye at $19...thats not bad at all....
