Honest Opinion on Groom's Gift

Honest Opinion on Groom's Gift

So I am getting FH a B-Pics album and a surprise groom's cake.

I wanted to get him something else, possibly something to wear on the wedding day.

I saw these video game controller cufflinks and immediately said 'FH would love these'. What holding me back from getting them is this:

1) They are $150
2) He would most likely wear them only on the wedding day and never again after that (there are not too many things we go to that required him to wear cufflinks LOL)

Here is a link to the cufflinks... do you girls think I should get them or should I scratch this idea?

I would try finding them somewhere else.. some sellers on Etsy even make personalized cufflinks... I would search around I am sure you can find them for less money SOMEWHERE!

Oh my goodness we are doing the same gifts...I am also doing a cake and the b-pics...but I think FH and I decided on no gifts for the wedding. So not sure maybe I'll do something for him on our honeymoon, buy a watch or something...I don't I'm so confused.

But I do like the cufflinks...they are cute but you are right he will probably never wear them again unless he wears it whenever he has to wear a suit or a tux.

I know I am so no help...sorry love!

I think they are adorable!!!! If it's in your budget I would get them. You know FH will love them and when he's getting ready that morning he'll think about you when he puts them on

well I don't want to do personalized cufflinks since he already has a pair that that our GM's gave him as a gift for his wedding. I know if anything he would probably be wearing those the day of if I don't get him these.

I could go the route of watch but again, he bought one on a cruise one year and I have yet to see him wear it since we got back LOL

Honestly the best gift I could probably give him is a giftcard to Gamestop LOL

no i mean that some sellers will make the cufflinks that you want! not sure if they could do the game controllers but it is worth a shot! I feel like I have heard of people being able to make anything on there lol.

I think they are so cute and he would appreciate them... I just wouldn't want to pay that much for them lol.

gotcha - yeah I don't think I would mind so much that he wouldn't wear them again - just if it was about 60% less in cost LOL... I'll check into etsy and see what I can find.... thanks!!

honestly, I wouldn't unless u really have $ to burn.

at the end of the day maybe you'll end up with a pic of them - but then what? what will u do with the pic?

and will other people really notice or remember this?

exactly my feelings which is why I'm hesitant... I'm going to shop around a little more (check Etsy) and if I can't find anything I'm just gonna scratch the idea and think of something else or just leave his gifts as is.

Yeah I'd put a cap on what I spend.. maybe $75 total including shipping. That's the most I'd spend on somehting like that I think.

and they don't cost much at all and for something that is just going to keep his cuff closed, I think he would definitely get a laugh out of it LOL

EDIT: plus I am spending a lot of the other gifts so I think this is fine
