Honest Opinons on Save the Dates PLEASE!

I ordered these the other day and I put a hold on the order bc of the wording....

What do you think- is it too much! My mom loves it and talked me into it... I mean I do think it is classy and elegant, but is the wording too much?

i do think... your precense is requested is a little too much...

also- I actually did change it to formal invitation to follow....

i think i would nix the exclamation mark in the end of 'save the date.' it seems strange to have that mark next to such a formal looking letter.

I would definitely take out at least the 'your presence is requested' part. It's too much like an invitation....then people will be looking for a time and location... you just want them to hold the date, not invite them, just yet. It is assumed they are going to be invited.

I would also remove the exclamation mark.

Other than that they are very pretty.

They are beautiful & elegant but, I would take out your presence is required. They sound too formal. Other than that I like them.

Personally- I think they are a little much for a STD.. they are too similar to a formal wedding invite.

I did custom stationary for mine- and they were still elegant- but a little more fun. IMO, STDs are an opportunity to do something a little more fun and casual- esp if you are going to have a formal invite for the wedding.

I love them - but I think it depends on the style of your wedding. Are you going for something more 'fun' or more 'sophisticated' for the wedding and reception?- Personally, my taste is towards the sophisticated and elegant, so I love this Save the Date... But I've also seen cute fun ones for less formal weddings . . .
