Honestly - is this a weird thing for a bride to do

I don't think either my BM's or I have the patience to go with everyone to check out their dresses. I wanted to go myself and try BM dresses on - get an idea of what I like - then narrow it down to a few, and then let them choose from there.

Is it weird for me to try on the BM gowns before I show anything to the girls? We are all really busy - and I just don't want to bridezilla them already.

Why is that weird? I think it is incredibly nice of you to try and make it easier for them.

Not weird at all ... a great time saver for them and you get to really see what you like without a lot of opinions.

nothing wrong with that....i would've done that but all my bms are soo much thinner then me, so if i didnt like it on me i knew i would on them.

Thats what i did...cause i knew if it looked good on me it would definitely look good on my girls...too many opinions makes it hard too, so go pick out what you like and call them in to the store to have them choose.

I went to try on dresses with my mom, sister and cousin two of which are in the wedding party and out of convenience while we were there I had them try on dresses. That’s the only time. I actually found the dress but wanted to continue shopping to make sure and I didn’t want to drag all my BM's with me.

I went by myself and tried on like 20 BM dresses.

I don’t think it's weird.
I found through this planning process that I am easily influenced by other people sometimes, making it harder to make a decision.

I even went dress shopping by myself about 5 or 6 times.

my sisters are my BM's and we are practically triplets - I was thinking this would work for my situation....although I would like their input - I tend to be a bit fashion challenged at times.

i dont think its weird. my sister is getting married 3 months before me and we're both each others MOH so we went and tried on dresses together. we just got a bunch of them and started trying them on. if one looked good on me but she didn't want it for her wedding we put it in the my wedding pile.. and vice versa.

i dont reccomend this method.. it gets really confusing!

but i think its great that you're doing that for your BM and saving them the troubles.
