I just recently found out that we may not be able to go on a honeymoon and I was so disappointed. We are paying for alot of our wedding and are not sure if there will be money left over. I was just curious to know what everyone was doing and how much they are spending. This will really help me and who knows maybe a honeymoon is within our budget!

We had to delay our honeymoon, mainly because I'm preggo and I wouldn't be able to fly after our wedding. We decided that delaying it is for the best anyway, because we'll have more time to save now. We're also doing a honeymoon registry through our travel agent; the travel agent gave us cards and they're going to be sent out with the shower invitations, so if people want to put money towards the honeymoon as a shower gift, they can.

You can definitely do a more budget honeymoon. Check out all-inclusives, they're ALWAYS cheaper than straight hotels. FH and I went to Bahia Principe Akumal (5 star all-inclusive) last November for something like $1300 for the two of us, including flight, for 5 nights. It was WONDERFUL. Priceline does vacations now and if you do a little research on the places, you can finda great place through that for very little money. Not sure if you want to share what your max would be but if you want to give me an idea, I'll help you search around to see what would fit into that sort of budget.

we are having a delayed HM later in the year- we thought a few days at a B&B would be romantic - maybe that would work for you ?
I have some friends that have done the Poconos or Myrtle Beach and have had a wonderful time on a short amount of time. Thsoe type of places cater to the honeymooners and the internet is full of information! Good luck!

Puerto Rico - $59 each way on Jet Blue and all inclusives are cheap and beautiful.
There are ways to do this for cheap!
If you set aside 50 dollars per week just for the HM, you can do it - you still have time!

we originally booked Costa Rica- two 4 star hotels for 9 days with r/t air was $2990 for two people!
We ended up changing to Aruba...7 nights...at Radisson with air about $3500-$3800.
The cheapest places were Mexico and Bahamas when we looked.

Being in the same boat as Butterflybride and expecting a baby in July, we have also put off a honeymoon. We may end up going away for a weekend in February or March. We have the rest of our lives to take trips/vacations together.

if you are willing to be flexible and wait till a month before your wedding you can get GREAT GREAT deals on cruises.
we did that we FH got home form iraq and spent about 1700 for both of us with an upgraded room 7 night cruise.
