Honeymoon??

Where is everyone going?

I want a place that is a short, inexpensive flight - so all the money can go to staying at an amzing luxurious resort. So I am thinking somewhere in the Caribbean is our best bet.

We really want to go to Italy, but to go in May/June will probably be expensive, and I'm not good with long flights. I hate flying.

We're also considering a cruise to the caribbean.

Thats one of our Top 3!! It looks amazing, but one of the nicest resorts is the kind with 'no fourth wall' so you have to sleep with a mosquito net and there are lizards in your shower, and I dont know if I can deal with that.

My priority is that I want to go somewhere where I dont feel obligated to sightsee, so we dont feel guilty if we just stay in the hotel and/or by the pool for a week and be pampered.

Have you and your FH gone on cruises before? Cause you dont want your HM to be the first one, in case either of you get seasick.

yeah, I couldn't do the lizard or bug thing either!! I don't blame you. But my friend just went there, and my travel agent had suggested it. They said it looks like hawaii, just cheaper, and closer.

been on two, and when we go, my doctor writes out a prescription for me, and so far never got seasick and one of the cruises was 10 days and I was fine.

What about aruba?
Its 4 hours 30 min flight.. and pretty cheap flights...

then you can just sit on the beach and enjoy ur self!

im goign there just booked got 10 days for under 5k
(thats like a penthouse room too in an adults only resort)

we aren't planning on doing any siteseeing at all.. just beach , pool, drink , dinner, repeat

we're basically set on Aruba

we're going to Couples Ocho Rios in Jamaica. it's about a 3 hrs. direct flight from JFK to Montego Bay (AIr Jamaica and Delta)

I am basically set on Aruba - I cant wait - we have been there before so I plan on just laying on the beach and drinking myself silly - plus it like never rains there so i dont have to watch the weather ( well it rains but its nice even when it rains) plus since i am going all inclusive i dont even have to think about where to eat -

i am limited to places we can fly bc FH is PETRIFIED of planes. . . I dont know how he is going to handle the 4 hours again!

we havent decided where but we are looking into tahiti, italy,and australia. I am upset b/c July is winter in Australia.. we may have to take australia off the hm list...

We are getting married in the Bahamas so we are also honeymooning there for a few days (to party with family and friends) before our 'real' honeymoon. The flight is 2 and a half hours from JFK. If you fly Jet Blue, you can get it as low at $89 each way!! It's great!!
