HONEY...MOON

Is everyone using a travel agent or doing it themselves...I've had the best experiences booking it myself...

I usually see a travel agent and then go ahead and book it on my own...what are your thoughts...

we arent too sure..we may go through an agent that is a friend of a friend...or do it on our own..

which ever is better for the $$

I am going to do it through a travel agent...For one i want travel insurance, you never know what can happen so I'd rather be on the safe side, especially when spending so much money you dont want to get screwed...Booking it yourself it will be no exchange, non transferrable...ive known people who had to go away to jamaica and there happened to be a HUGE riot there and nobody was allowed to go there, so they luckily booked with a TA and just booked them somewhere else that week, i think the bahamas or something.

We usally go through AAA with all of our trips cause me and FH both belong. ANd you don't have to pay anything extra for them booking and you get the insurance witht them also. So will probably do it thought them.

I usually do all vacations online, but for our HM I am going to go to a travel agent. We are going to Hawaii and want to stay at a few of the islands, so I think it will be easier that way for me.......

i went to turks and caicos...and i went to margaritaville there! i had a BLAST!

I'll probably book directly with Sandals... I want to go to St. Lucia too! They have insurance and all so I don't have to worry about hurricanes or anything else... plus my mom is like an expert on booking up vacations... my famiy thinks of her as a travel agent because she always finds the best deals!

i went on a cruise so i was there for a day

but it was a place id go back to.

i love margaritaville too! haha

i have done a bunch of cruises so i got to go to a bunch of places for 1-2 days

st lucia...ive never been but i LOVE LOVE LOVE

Turks and Caicos, Aruba, Puerta Vallarta, St Thomas and Barbados

well everyplace is great actually but those are my favs.

n st lucia / antigua i havent been yet soooo i think st lucia is our pick

well i had wanted to go there for years ill say that first.

We want to grand turks and there is one section they recently built for when cruise ships come there, they just started allowing cruises last summer...Its a small section with a bunch of shops and theres margaritaville which was alot of fun, its this outside bar, with tables, dj and a pool, BUT if a cruise is not there its pretty empty...if you go when a cruise is there for a few hours then it is alot of fun. There was still alot of construction going on around the area...We went to governors beach which we heard was one of the best beaches there and it was a fee of $35 per person...the beach was gorgeous, beautiful white sand and the water was absolutely amazing, and so calm...on the way from the shopping area and margaritaville to the beach, it was all under construction, mostly dirt road and a few houses and like police station and stuff like that.

If you are looking for isolated and very quiet relaxing honeymoon then it is great. Otherwise after 9pm everything closes and there is nothing to do. Its more of a relax by the beach everyday type thing
