So I was planning goign to St Lucia (Sandals) for our honeymoon. Im debating how long to stay. My orignial thought was 9 nights, 10 days but people are telling me thats too long and we would get bored. How long do you think is enough to stay for?

We are going to Hawaii for 12 days..but i also didnt want to fly all the way out there for only a few days. Its up to you ..it depends on what you want to do. I know we are going on a few different excursions that we have planned.

we are going there and staying 7 nights, but that's all our schedule gives us time to do.

I am sure you wont get bored on your honeymoon. I know I can sit on the beach for days on end and not get bored!

10days is PERFECT. i wouldn't go any less than that....when we were there everyone who stayed for a week were saying that they wish they just had a few more days... Remember u really lose about 2 days for travel regardless of when ur flight gets in... We stayed for 12 days...and the last day or two was nice because we literally just sat by the pool & soaked up the sun ALL DAY....but i enjoy that. My hubby said 10days would've been perfect...i think i would've been satisfied with that - but nothing less! good luck!

me and FH were gonna go to St. Lucia but I heard that it might get a little boring considering there really isnt much to do there. We've done the vacations where we just sit on the beach and hang out all day and we've been with groups of people, we can't imagine all alone having nothing else to do, it sounds like it would/could get boring.
Also, I checked out the sandals website and the transfer from the St. Lucia airport to the sandals resort is almost 2 hours, so if you add that to the air travel time, you're going to be traveling for about 7 hours going and coming -- you'll end up spending 2 days traveling, so the 7 days turns to 5.
We're actually considering Aruba....at least that the latest idea for now, theres more to do there, we have the options of lounging out on the beach but you can also walk/travel around the island to do other things.
Good Luck with whatever you choose I'm sure anywhere you choose will be beautiful and relaxing

Me too...BUT DH can't. He was so restless, by the end of the HM (we went 9 nights/10 days to Mexico) he was sitting at the bar making friends while I read my book on the beach.
We stayed too far from everything though. The closest shopping was in playa del carmen about 40 minutes away and there really wasn't much to do at the resort (we played ALOT of ping pong on the beach lol)
I don't know about St. Lucia so I can't give any advice regarding that...but I think you can use all 3 sandal's resorts, and the change of scenery would make 9 nights ok.
