Honeymoon

How far in advance should we book our honeymoon?! We havent done it yet, and want to wait. How far in advance did you girls do it?

you can book anywhere up to a few months before no need to book that far in advance, But dont forget about passports if need be.

we booked ours in like february or beginning of march for our may honeymoon, so only 2-3 months before. We also couldnt do it way ahead of time bc hotel rates dont come out far in advance for european hotels, other girls who went to europe around same time also waited until booking. For us it worked out find and no problems at all. Some hotels in the caribbean and places where they have one big hotel everybody goes to, might get booked up quicker so you might want to check now what availability is. For example when people go to ST. Lucia most seem to go to one hotel or actually i think theres 2 hotels most people go to. Since theres basically 2 popular hotels everybody goes to it can book up quickly.

I booked when the flights came out because I was paranoid about the flights being too expensive and for me if I had waitied I would have doubled the price of my flight. But it all depends on where you are going too.

We're out of the norm here - we're waiting until right after the wedding to book. We may have to wait a few months before actually going away.

We just booked ours like 3 weeks ago! Our wedding is a year away but we booked super early.

ITA, It depends where you are going. We went to Israel so we waited because the prices come down a lot if you book closer to the date. If you are going somewhere more popular than you need to book further in advance.

I would do it sooner rather than later. My travel agent is all set to book the second the flights become available for our dates...

We booked the 2nd 1/2 of our honeymoon last week to St. Lucia (6 nights at Sandals Regency La Toc Resort), but we still haven't booked the 1st 1/2 of our honeymoon (8 nights in Disneyworld).

but i would def do it sooner than later just in case you cant get what you want plus i would imagine prices increase the closer you get

it all depends on where youre going, i got AMAZING flight prices just 2 months before, better than i was seeing all along. But also again depends on where youre going. If you go to the caribbean where there are alot less hotels then i would worry, but for example the first part of my HM we went to spain with TONS of hotels so i didnt even worry about not being able to book something. ALSO we wanted to book earlier but the hotels in europe did not release their hotel prices in 07 and we had to wait until 08 to get 08 prices and even then it didnt happen right away. So not like we were able to book hotels without their prices for 08 lol.

We booked with about 4 months to go. The only problem is a lot of the ocean front rooms were gone. Other than that it has been fine. Wish I could have waited on the airfare, because now flights are so much cheaper than when we booked.
