Hola... Is anyone going to Hawaii for their honeymoon? I started looking at places in Hawaii and all my friends whom have been there have told me to go to Grand Hyatt Kauai. But, it is like $5,000 not including food or drinks?? Any thoughts? or if your staying anywhere else please let me know!!
I'm not going to Hawaii for HM, but I've been there on a cruise before. It is beaufitul. I, personally, would go back there to stay in Maui! It is beyond incredible.
thats so funny you posted this--i JUST got quotes on the hotels!! we were planning on going to maui and stay at the fairmont for five nights and then go to kauai and stay at the grand hyatt for 4 nights--both of those together (not including airfare) is $6,100 (this also includes a car for both islands) airfare is pro. another 2,000 for me and FH. The travel agent told me since we are booking so early, a lot of promotions come out in december around the holidays, so she will be able to adjust the cost once the promotions come out (for example, at the grand hyatt they normally do free breakfast every day, and at the fairmont they normally do the 5th night is free). it is $$ though. and those are garden view. FH really wants an oceanview in maui and the price increases another $800. both those hotels and islands are beautiful. i heard really great things about both. let me know when you decide on doing! we didnt book it yet, but i think we are going to by the end of the week.

i know it isnt even including food and drinks...ahh i know it is $ but whatever we just wont go on another vaca for like 10 years haha

Girls, I would wait until much later this year to book your honeymoons to Hawaii. I just finished booking mine and for flights and hotels we are at $6200. Thats 11nights/12days. We are staying at the Outrigger Reef in Honolulu, Hyatt in Maui and Marriott in Kona.
Those prices are really high b/c the rates just came out. If you wait a few months you will see those rates drop dramatically.

ahh that is such a great price!! i know we should wait but i am so anxious to book it and plus my travel agent said she will adjust the price so it will be like getting free money when she does!!

FH & I are planning on going to Hawaii. All of our friends have told us to budget at least $10,000. we have not started to look into booking yet because i have noticed that the prices tend to fluctuate regularly. yes it is expensive but we have never gone on vacation so we think its worth it.
i have heard great things about Hyatt & Marriott.
