FH was out of work for 4 months and it really backed us up for the wedding. I just got a second job and he just started working 3 weeks. One thing we are willing to save on is the honeymoon. we have done a lot of trips together and want to start a family asap. What would you choose?
St. lucia sandals (most expensive-- stupid spring break flights!!!!!)
Fort Myers beach- my mom owns a awesome town house there (least expensive)
Ireland.. pay for flights... my aunt owns a bed and breakfast there and stay for free (in between)
Ireland wasnt my idea.. FH wants to go. I am only 3rd generation here. All my grandparents are from ireland so I have a nice place to stay and sooo much to see.
Fort myers would be cheapest of course b/c flights and room.
St Lucia would be beautiful but FH isnt the biggest fan of laying in sun... and already convinced I will get skin cancer b/c me and sun dont mix!!!!

cheaper yet more awesome than FL....seriously, do you want to say to your kids that you went to FL for your HM??? Ireland is way better sounding.

Not to worried about what we tell the kids lol... We are attempting to wake up our first day as husband and wife with no credit card debt. Looks like it might be Ireland. Its a gorgeous place

Ok so...i've been to Ireland and it's nice but the only thing i'd say is be mindful of the weather. It's going to be cooooold in April! I would vote for St. Lucia but i'm sure you'll have a wonderful time no matter what.

Ireland all the way
i went there once already and that our top choice for honeymoon right now and its so beautiful and so affordable
i went for spring break in college in 2005 and went for under 1000 with airfare

I vote for Ireland - especially if you guys don't want to lay around the sun too much, seems to be the best option and sounds like you have a great place to stay in. FL is great also but you guys can probably go there another time if you have a place to stay in.

I voted for Ireland but only if you would have a honeymoon! I know if I go to Sicily my family would expect me to spend a lot of time with them and would want to show me the sites. I know that's not how FH wants to spend our honeymoon.

i vote Florida. although ireland is awesome and i myself would want to go there. It sounds like you would have more privacy in florida. (and also i'm biased, bc i would want someplace warm for my honeymoon)
i would say st. lucia, but if a family is your priority, then saving on the honeymoon is important.
