Honeymoon

FH and I are starting to research places for our honeymoon... any good suggestions for all inclusive resorts? We are getting married in September so I worry about hurricane season at a lot of the islands

Aruba is usually outside of the hurricane belt.

Casitas Royale at El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya

The most romantic resort I've ever been to! Amazing food and service was outstanding! They are at your Beck And call!

We went in sept last year too and had no problem w weather.... I highly highly rec this resort it is out of this world!!!the restaurants make you feel like you're eating at a 5 star restaurant every night...you have butler service on the beach and at pool they will bring you books pool floats sunscreen ice pops even lunch boxes w food at lunch time if you don't want to get up to go to restaurant

And sept is off season so the resort is empty which means more personalized attention

I can't say enough about this place DH and I love it there!!!

Arubaa is amazing! I stayed at the Occidental all inclusive and it was pretty...the hyatt is def better but its not all inclusive...dinners around the area were average prices

Be careful traveling to Mexico with all the drug war violence. I personally would not travel there right now.

you know, any time of year brings with it different difficulties...the summer is hurricane season, in the winter its bad weather...i would suggest to purchase travel insurance to cover these types of natural occurances and hope for the best.
you can't akways control the weather, look at those poor 2011 brides who were hit with Hurricane Irene in August and a Snowstorn for Halloween!

We went on vacation to the Maya Rivera and stayed at the Mayan Palace. It was really pretty.

We are going to Thailand for our honeymoon tho.

The unsafe areas are mainly on the Pacific coast by the California border, Cabo San Lucas would be one of those places. But Riviera Maya and Playa Mujeres is pretty safe

I was married on 9/9 of this year and we went to ST. Lucia for our honeymoon. The weather was amazing everyday! If it rained it was only for 15 min tops. People didnt even get out of the water.

thanks everyone!! Anyone heard anything about the new Hard Rock in the Dominican Republic? FH and I love casinos and this place looks awesome and it's all inclusive. Any other places that have a casino nearby?

St. Lucia is beautiful, not because I am from there but St. Lucia is one of the #1 honeymoon locations. I would recommend staying at Jade mountains, it is breath taking :)
