Hi! Are you going on your honeymoon right away? Or are you waiting a few days?
I'm a substitute teacher (hopefully getting a leave replacement or full time job this year) and am thinking of waiting til the summer to go.
Also, where is everyone going? Thank you!

We are actually waiting a few months! With a wedding during the summer, prices are ridiculously higher for travel. We're going to the Virgin Islands in September on a cruise. The same cruise with a veranda is literally thousands cheaper!

We haven't decided when we are going yet because FH and I will both be starting new jobs shortly and we're worried about where we will be living and how much we'll be making and time off etc. We are hoping to go to Belize! It looks amazing! It's a great mix of jungle adventure and beaches...we are super excited about seeing the Mayan ruins and cave tubing! I've actually found that a lot of places are cheaper during the summer because it is their low season, so hopefully we'll be able to go right away!

We haven't even thought about it. We don't know where we will be living or what we will be doing for work, so it's so,etching that may have to wait.

Our wedding is 5/2, we are thinking about leaving for the honeymoon sometime during the following week. I always thought I wanted to leave right after for that whole wedding feel but then I was thinking I don't want to worry about packing right before my wedding. We are thinking possibly Hawaii. We are going to go to a travel agent sometime soon and see what else might be out there that would suit us.

We're leaving the day after. We're having a Sunday daytime wedding that will be over at 5:30, and our flight is monday night at 6:30. It just kind of worked out that flights were fairly cheap in April during the week, so we decided not to wait.

My FH is insistent that we go right away (well we'll probably give ourselves one day off to visit with family still in town, organize, unpack/repack, run errands, deposit gifts, etc.). He doesn't want to go back to work after we get married. I get that-- one of my coworkers got married last weekend and then just was back on Tues because she and her husband are postponing their honeymoon a month or so. She looked exhausted and miserable (which she told me she was!). Another friend postponed their honeymoon since she works at a school and had to take her honeymoon during a school break. She said that it was sort of anti-climatic b/c she was used to being Mrs. R-- for so long at that point that it wasn't cool when they give you the room and everything.
I understand that it can be difficult to go right away with work/finances, but I think there's something to be said for going right away. But you have to do what is best for you!

we are waiting just about a week to go on our honeymoon. FH's Aunt and Uncle have a timeshare with Marriot so they gave us our honeymoon hotel in PARIS! and since we are getting married in Spring I wanted to go ASAP. We wanted to wait the week just to come down from the high and gather ourselves at least a little bit =)

We are waiting until the summer for ours since I am a teacher. We need to price out a few options before deciding but we really want to do a Mediterranean Cruise which would go to Barcelona, Rome, Florence, Santorini, Athens and Turkey.

I am waiting 4 months :( not by choice but after we are married I have one month of nursing school left so once I finish we are out of NY the next day lol.

I am a teacher so I won't be able to take off for the honeymoon right after the wedding. We will wait until the summer to go on our honeymoon to Italy and Greece

At first we were going right after but that got put on hold because I put in for a new position... Hope I get it but if I do I will have training that I need to do.
