I am so torn on my honeymoon.. I was thinking of Disney because FH has never been.. But the more we go over things we want to stay local as FH doesnt get paid vacation until next yr :(..

I love Newport and you can make it romantic - sunset sails, picnics, etc. But also, I would check out Mohonk Mountain House - its soooo beautiful

We went to the Finger Lakes last year, it's beautiful, especially if you're into wineries. I've never been to Newport, but have always wanted to go. Boston and Philadelphia are also great cities, lots of romantic B&Bs, great restaurants, etc... Also, Norwegian cruise line does a 3 night 'Cruises to Nowhere' out of the NYC. Hope this helps!

I agree with Chilly313 - Mohonk is stunning!!! All inclusive....trust me the price might shock you at first but it was/is 1st class all of the way.

I agree with Newport, and it can be very romantic. It's right on the water...very pretty. You can go for tours of the mansions, have a picnic on the grounds of them...etc..
Another idea is Block Island... you take the ferry out of Montauk. Not sure of pricing, etc.. but I hear it's pretty. I am actually going there the week before your wedding!
Depending on how long you are staying, I also have heard of romantic spa resorts/getaways - either upstate or in PA - that maybe good.
My parents went to the Poconos on their honeymoon....but this was quite a few years back
