Honeymoon advice - Help please!!!

FH and I are going to Hawaii for our Honeymoon...

We are going to Oahu first and then Maui.

We are totally set on the Hyatt for Maui and are excited about it BUT -

We are both torn about choosing a hotel in Oahu...

We originally choose the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Ali'i tower. I have read a lot of not so good reviews on Tripadvisor.com.

We are thinking about switching to the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach...

Any advice from anyone who has been to Oahu and can reccommend any hotels there...

Thanks so much!

When we were trying to plan a Hawaiian honeymoon my travel agent swore by the Sheraton Waikiki hotel. It looked beautiful.

I was in Oahu in March and the hotel is also very beautiful its right on the strip on the beach and you can see diamond head from the hotel and theres a lot of action over by the outrigger!!! my favorite restaurant is in that hotel, thats where fh and i had dinner before he proposed!!! its called dukes canoe club and its incredible!!!! they also have the hula grill which is amazing too!! they have live bands at dukes and they are awesome, we hung out therea lot on our trip!

I would also reccommend the Halekulani.. it is realllly beautiful and a top hotel over in Oahu. also... i went to a luao at the
Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki Beach
it's the oldest hotel in Oahu and absolutely stunning, but maybe be hard to get reservations. the pic is of the royal hawaiian.
