Honeymoon advice needed

So FH and I cant agree on a honeymoon location! We definitely want Sandals with a butler....but which location?! Is there anything to do as far as good tours in Antigua? I dont want to lay on the beach every single day....I want things to do off the resort. Also, how long was the flight from NY? Which airlines have direct flights? TIA

P.S. Unfortunately FH said NO St. Lucia bc he thinks it's too far to travel to....which makes me so sad bc I've heard St. Lucia is amazing :(

Your best bet is to visit a travel agent. They know so many other all inclusive resorts aside from Sandals and can offer you tons of choices and excursions. We went to Liberty TRavel and once we narrowed down our destination, I went on all the travel websites (expedia, travelocity, etc) and went back to them with the cheapest price and they matched it! Def check them out (or someone else), let them do all the dirty work for you!

We stayed at Sandals Antigua and had a butler - best thing ever! If you go to their site theres a list of tours they offer. We did deep sea fishing, and got sea sick lol snorkeling DH loved snorkeling I however am a terrible snorkeler (they offer a free trip through the resort and a trip you pay for) couples massages - amazzinnggg, sunset cruise which was fun, we rented jet skis and there are other tours as well. The flight from JFK is about 4 hours, maybe 4 1/2 and American Airlines flies direct but only on certain days of the week I think its Mon, Thurs, Fri and Sun. HTH

I've been to Sandals St. Lucia with a butler twice and I LOVE it.

Antigua is actually usually harder/longer to get to than St. Lucia. A direct flight from NY takes about the same time, but there are fewer direct flights. Jet Blue runs daily direct flights to St. Lucia, and it's under 5 hours.

Any of the Jamaica resorts would be a bit closer (just under 4 hours), flying into Montego Bay.

The Royal Bahamian would be the closest.

If FH is willing to go to Antigua, in fact St. Lucia will be easier to get to.

I'm a HUGE fan of Sandals. Going back for my 3rd trip next year. Totally agree with using an agent. Sandals will NOT sell anywyhere at a price that is lower than what their agents can get you, so Orbitz and expedia won't help. Plus you REALLY want an agent for Sandals because 1) they're super good to us. The sales team at the resort will specifically look out for and help guests who have been identified as special guests by their agents and 2) For example a single room category at one resort can be in 4 or 5 different places, but the website won't tell you that.Your agent will put you where YOU want to be. Do you want to be by the main pool and action, way out by the tennis courts, or up on the exclusive bluffs? because at La toc, those are ALL places the most popular category can be. You need someone who knows the resorts.
