FH and I havent even started looking around for honeymoon prices. Am I really waiting last min?? Im getting worried....maybe we should be booking soon??
Oh and whats the deal with payment? Do you have to put a certain amount down and make payments....or do they ask for it all upfront??
Thanks girls!

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
We just booked airfare and I'm booking hotels and everything else on my own. I'm going to be booking some hotels within the next 2 weeks or so.

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
we're all booked. with sandals you just have to put down a deposit and then the rest gets paid like 6 weeks before or something like that.

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
If you are going in may or June I would book as soon as possible. I heard that flights get pricier closer to the date of travel. I don't really fly that much but that's what I heard. I think we're waiting til the next winter to go somewhere nice and warm. Plus I'm unemployed! $$ is tight!

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
We had to put a $2,000 deposit to hold the resort rooms in Fiji...that came from the resorts, not the TA. We didn't book airfaire yet b/c the TA said prices may come down.

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
My fiance and I booked some of our trip already. We are planning to fly into Rome and spend a week in Italy, THen take a cruise from Venice to Greek Islands for a week.
So far, we booked our flight- paid in full and our cruise which only charges a convenience fee now and final payment in 2 months i believe. We plan to get trip insurance.

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
We booked 3 Hawaiian islands over 12 nights with car rental and inter-isle flights through a travel agent. We put a small deposit to hold the airfare and paid the insurance...total of like $550 deposit. We pay the balance at the end of March. Every TA has different vendors / tour places they deal with....so pricing depends on that and if the air you want is 'bulk' or published. I would get on it to weigh your options, but its definitely not too late.

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
i think u still have some time before u really need to book ur HM.
FH booked ours a few month back and went through a travel agent. i dont remember which one but if u want i can FM her info. he put down some money, again idk how much, and then we 4 weeks before the HM to pay it off in full. i think it benefitted us to go through a travel agent because we could pay it off little by little.

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
We put a $900 deposit on our cruise, and used frequent flyer miles for our flights. We still have to book a hotel for the couple nights before the cruise though.

We haven't booked yet but we're getting quotes from travel agents right now. I hope to book our trip in the next few weeks. Good luck!

Re: honeymoon booked yet for May brides?
June bride, but cloose enought! we booked ours in september. we had to put 25% down with hotel and another 25% coming in january. the remaining 50% gets paid when we check out at the end of HM. We booked our A/F through delta directly.... no travel agent for anything, i did it all!
