Honeymoon Budget - Poll

How much did you budget/spend on Honeymoon? FH and I are just starting to look into HM and I guess I am just wondering what is average?

(not including spending money once at the location)

We are totally splurging on the Honeymoon...
The estimate for travel and lodging was 10K!
We are going to Hawaii for 2 weeks... Oahu and Maui..

We are doing 7 days, 6 nights at the El Dorado Royale and it cost us with airfare and transfers and all-inclusive, just under 3000.

We plan on doing 2 weeks in Costa Rica. We are budgeting about $6000.

We are doing 7 days, 6 nights at the El Dorado Royale and it cost us with airfare and transfers and all-inclusive, just under 3000.

I have this one bookmarked already as a possibility - it really looks like you get ALOT for your money! Let me know how it turns out!

We want to do three weeks in Italy and are budgeting $3000 for the plane tickets - but we own a timeshare so we don't need to pay for lodging. Yeah!

we kind of thought about it being about 8,000
BUT- my parents also gave us their American Airlines Miles, they have been saving for a number of years and we can fly anywhere around the world on them...so thats going to save a bundle...but with the miles we need to book soon!

We splurged on the HM also and went to Bora Bora. Not including extras and spending money, we paid about $7800.

We did 8 nights/9 days at Royal Hideaway booked through the fabulous Hayley at Beach Bum Vacations and it was under $5K including non-stop airfare and all activities over there (we did a tour of Tulum and Xel-Ha as well as Speed Boat and ATV's). The hotel was all-inclusive, so food and drinks were already paid for...LOVED IT!

We're looking into Tahiti/Bora Bora and trying to keep our budget at around $7k for 10 days including direct air from NY! That's just for air and lodging (no food or activities).
