Honeymoon confusion...

Anyone confused on where they want to go?

I thought I was 100% sure I wanted to go to Ireland and I still would love to but the way I want to do it - private tour guide for just me and FH for two weeks - is too expensive.

I'm so confused now!

Our big thing is we wanted to do something for our Honeymoon that was different and something that we may never get the chance to do again (we feel like though it's not easy we could take a trip to the caribbean any time. . .NO OFFENSE INTENDED) which is what made ireland perfect, but now I'm second guessing a bus tour of all of ireland...that's a lot of hours on a bus. ...




what do you girls think?

hmmmm if its going to be too expensive, are there any other places you would love to go, that is still different and wont get a chance to do again? Or maybe cutting the trip from 2 weeks to 1 week or 10 days.

that's the thing, I'm having a hard time coming up with another option. Even at 10 days it's still pretty expensive (this is all based on online quotes though, we're gonna go talk to a ireland tour group before we book anything)

Any suggestions of other destinations?

I think if that's where you guys want to go, and it fits into the budget, then do it!!!

that's the problem. what I want to do would cost over $10k and that's double our HM budget!

so then plan on going for your 5 or 10 year anniversary!

go somewhere you can afford. you don't want to start your married life in debt (i don't mean to be harsh, but this happened to a close personal friend)

well i know you dont want the caribbean but what about europe...Maybe Greece, spain, italy, you can find some pretty good packages. Hmmm what else, london, france although with greece or Italy you can probably find better packages, or maybe a european cruise.

maybe I'll take a look into those. I think I like the idea of Greece and the Mediterranean too...

you the 10k honeymoon isn't even an option so don't worry about it. I think FH would if I told him we were paying that much for our honeymoon

a few years ago i had an Alitalia brochure and they had AMAZING packages...they would have like italian riviera, london, france and a bunch of different ones. It also included car rental and calling cards and breakfast...dont know how good the deals are now but def worth checking it out. I always regret not doing it...and its def within the budget you posted, hopefully they still have some good ones

on the Baja peninsula in Mexico (pacific side)...its awesome...and you can get a direct flight now out of JFK

yeah alitalia is not a cruise i forgot to mention that lol...i know the freedom of the seas ship is the one they use for european cruises so look into that too.
