So, I'm supposed to start teaching next year - likely about 10 days after i'm married, so we're thinking of holding off on booking a honeymoon until after i get a job...
I'm hoping (praying?) that i get a job by the time i graduate in may... but who knows!
i don't know much about traveling/planning vacations, but does anyone know how late is the latest i can plan a decent honeymoon?

We were contemplating a short one to vegas, but i don't know if i can take the heat...
I'm to scared to go to florida or the carribean after this hurricane season...
If i could get a job now and know what i was doing life would be so much eaiser!

i hope so! I'm not very good at haggling... Maybe I'll bring FMIL along... Though, with that one of two things could happen: I could get an awsome deal on a great honeymoon.
OR
I could be banned from ever using that particular travel agent and will have my name blacklisted at hotels across the united states...

If you are staying in US -- there are SO many last minute travel deals you will be FINE!

yeah - we're not going interational... we may wait for the one year for that. if i go to europe or hawaii or something i want to be able to have 10 days to 2 weeks go enjoy it - not be worrying about staring a classroom... or (hopefully not) worrying about the fact that i don't have one...

Vegas is great that time of year and you can always get last minute specials there!!! SO no worries. I've even been there in the heat of late June and had a blast!
