I did two Costa Cruises and I love them! They were out of the caribbean but I know they have many mediterranian cruises to choose from; they are an Italian based company and incorporate that theme into all their cruises.

Re: Honeymoon Cruises

We went on a Carnival Cruise and we had a great time! Carnival is oriented towards the younger crowd with more partying than some of the other cruise lines, so it depends what you are looking for. The ship we went on had a special extra restaurant that you paid extra to go to ($30pp) but it was seriously the best meal we have ever had! One thing to be careful of, cruises generally seat you with other people at dinner so if you guys are looking for a romantic dinner just for the two of you make sure you talk to them about having your own table.

We were thinking about doing Costa in the mediteranian because the prices are really reasonable. Then I heard that its a little bit different since its European based. People are allowed to smoke onboard and in the rooms. That bothers me a little

I'm not sure what we are going to do now. We were thinking Royal Carribean instead.

Cruise critic ROCKS!!! They give you tons of ways to save money. I used it for our Bahama cruise in October.

I'm not a smoker and I still had fun. They have designated smoking areas, I guess more than a normal American cruise line. If you have any questions about Costa you can FM me; I have plenty of pics But I also have heard that RC is a great line.
