Honeymoon destinations & payments??

Honeymoon destinations & payments??

FH and I have not booked, planned or looked into our honeymoon yet. We are not firm on any destination. I have no clue where to even get started, but I think we should after the holiday.
So here are my questions-

1- Where are you going?
2- How much (what percent?) did you put down?
3- Are there payment plans?
4- Where would you suggest?
5- Who is your travel agent?

Thank you in advance!

1. Sandals Antigua
2. $750...I think
3. The only other payment we owe is the final balance...I think in May
4. Well, for the money and it being all inclusive, I would say check out any of the Sandals resorts
5. FH belongs to AAA and so we went thru them
and received a discount
***FYI: Sandals is always running promotions...as much as like 55% off...check it out

Let us know what you choose!!! Good luck!

So here are my questions-

1- Where are you going?

Sandals Whitehouse, Jamica for 11 days

2- How much (what percent?) did you put down? very litle, I gave to check w/ FH but a couple of hundred

3- Are there payment plans?

I'm sure if need be there could be, our TA will charge our account the balance (like $5k) 30 days before so May 7th.

4- Where would you suggest?

I suggest any Sandals location. It's great that everything is all inclusive! My FILs went there last month and loved it! As my FH pointed out to me when I was pushing really hard for Europe,' A Honeymoon is supposed to be the time that the newlyweds have nothing to do (including siteseeing) but enjoy each other

5- Who is your travel agent?

Arlene from Liberty Travel in Woodbury. She's been FILs TA for ever, and she's booked almost every trip we went one.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Honeymoon destinations & payments??

We booked our honeymoon to HAWAII through LIBERTY TRAVEL

I paid for the airfare that day and saved $150 because I did it in advance.
Then I made payments of whatever I wanted each month untill we had it paid off.

I think most travel agents will let you do that. (thats why we used them)

Sandals are great resorts because it's all inclusive and you dont have to worry about bringing more $$ down with you. The last thing anyone wants to do after tipping your vendors and making your last payments to people at your wedding, is to get another wad of cash together to take on your honeymoon!

Can't you pay the TA on CC/Debit Card the entire thing?

What do you and FH like to do? Are you beach people? Do you want to site see? Do you want to indulge and get pampered the whole time?

Re: Honeymoon destinations & payments??

We are traveling through South America, but i think a great way to stay at a 4 star resort and still not go overboard is to go to Buenos Aires and Uruguay. We are doing a week long stay between the two Four Seasons resorts down there, and the cost is about a third of the typical Four Seasons expense.

take a look.

the other great thing is that the dollar is extremely strong in Argentina right now, so that lowers costs as well.

on the other hand...we are totally splurging in Patagonia. feel free to take a look...i am soooo excited

good luck...i have to say, this was the most fun of all of our planning...
