So, FH and I have been wondering how we can afford a honeymoon and we were not sure where to go. His parents have a timeshare. They use it in Florida every year and I have gone with them a few times. This past weekend when FH and I went to Foxwoods (he actually won a little $ for the wedding fund!), he told me that his parents said that we could use the timeshare for our honeymoon! According to him, we could transfer it to wherever we want. I am guessing there are certain choices. I don't know how this works! I guess we have to talk to his parents. Anyone else know anything about that?

Ya, normally you just have to call the time share company to see what's available, pay a small fee to transfer and you can go anywhere! Good luck sounsd great!

You have to find out which company owns the timeshare and then go to their website. Make sure you have all the details... like restrictions and what you might get for equal value of the timeshare.
It is cool though. We were going to do that too... found some cool place in Canada but we decided to go to Vermont instead.

Thanks girls! I am very excited. I am also nervous because I remembered that my co-worker who is getting married is doing something like that. I think she said that they are transferring it to Hawaii but there is a chance that they may not get it! They will not know until about 2 weeks prior! So, I think they had to book back-up plans? That is too scary for me!

My FFIL is giving us his time shares also we will be going to saint marteen he reserved our location as soon as he found out we set our date it should be just fine and it saves us alot of money
