honeymoon flight

What is most important to you for your honeymoon flight : price, convenience, 1st class, or travel time?

We booked a short , reasonably priced flight but its in Coach. Im a bit bummed that its not first class but 1st class is soooo expensive.....how are you handling your flight?

Convenience and price. We are booking a coach flight. The only difference I see between coach and first class is hot towels and possibly a glass of champagne. I'd rather spend more money on my time while I was at my destination.

honestly, i really don't care that my flight is coach... we booked it because it will get us to barbados before noon, and we will be in mustique by lunchtime

I don't think the extra money is worth the service of first class....save it and buy yourself a pretty souveniere (sp)

Re: honeymoon flight

we booked it because of convenience, it was the only flight leaving within 3 days of our wedding, price wasn't an issue because we had FF miles and we're hoping to be able to upgrade to 1st class with them.

We're flying Jet Blue... I'd rather have the extra $$ for shopping or maybe a spa treatment.

for the money that you save on the flight you can treat yourself to a better room category for example

I wanted to do first class, because I have had that in my head since I was a little girl...(you are all grown up, you get married and go 1st class) but realistically, we found the price was absolutely not worth it to Tahiti....it is a difference of thousands of dollars....so I am planning to wear some kind of gear that shows we are newlyweds and hope to get bumped up to business class!!!

We're going coach and have an overnight in Brussels on the way back (from Italy that is). We were in Brussels last year and know the city so we'll just have dinner and a quiet night , relax and unwind. IMO first class is not that important considering the extra expense. The money I saved on our flight allowed me to upgrade our hotel rooms a bit so it was well worth it.

We booked coach Our flight is so long (10 hrs going, 11 coming home with teh transfers) but the differential was insane.

I did, however, get a nifty Just Married t-shirt from my friend that I'll be wearing both going and coming... trying to tug at the heartstrings

Convenience and travel time. We're taking the earliest flight with the shortest lay-over. We're flying 1st class on the way there and coach on the way back. To fly 1st class both ways was going to be insanely expensive. I'm crossing my fingers that we have enough frequent flyer miles to fly first class on the way back to.

Convenience and cost. While I would love to fly to Hawaii first class, it is just not in the budget. I'm just happy to be going to Hawaii and we'll be there by 2PM.

Re: honeymoon flight

We're flying to Italy business class b/c it's such a long flight, and on the international flights there really is a big difference between coach and business/first- seats are much bigger, chairs recline all of the way back and there is a curtain for some privacy if you want to sleep (no ladies, not for the mile high club!). However, if we were paying for it (we used points for roundtrip business class), then we would have gone coach.

We are flying first class on the way there, and then got a 2 seater coach on the way home. There is a BIG price difference...but you only do it once!

We are flying first class b/c we are flying direct to Tahiti and it's a 12 1/2 hour flight, so we thought it was worth the extra money. It is a lot of money though

we're flying coach with the thought that we can spend more money on us when we're on our honeymoon....spa treatments here I come!!

Re: honeymoon flight

We are going to Aruba and leaving on Christmas Day (fh is a teacher and unable to take off in the school year)

The ONLY reason we are flying first class is because the fare for coach was 300.00 less....

Otherwise flying coach would of been fine with me....

Girls, good news! I heard this a few times from other brides I know... supposedly if you tell them it's your honeymoon, they will usually bump you to first class if it's available for free!!! Keep your fingers crossed. I know I am!
