Honeymoon Flight

Honeymoon Flight

So next Saturday I will be leaving to Florida for my honeymoon, question... on my boarding pass it has my name listed as a hyphen, and they said to bring my marriage certificate with me. I currently have the form I got from the town clerk's office which is for the priest to sign, I was told the priest usually takes that and mails it himself. Should I ask him if I can hold onto it for 2 weeks til we get back or go to town hall get another copy for him to sign so I can take it with me??

I'm sorry, I don't have an answer for you. I did want to say that I find it strange that they reserved your ticket with a hyphenated name when in fact you won't have changed your name yet so legally it is not your name. You MAY have an issue with boarding - I would call the airline to double check.

I hope it works out easily!

I agree - it's likely you'll have a problem boarding as they usually check ID.

Call the airline, explain the situation, and see if they'll change the name on the ticket. That's the least complicated solution.

I agree!

What you are handing into the priest is your marriage license, not your marriage certificate anyway, two different things.

Call the airline and get it changed to just your maiden name, it will make everything easier in the long run!!!

You won't get your marriage certificate in time anyway if the priest hasn't even signed it yet. I believe you have to wait for your certificate to come in the mail...

At any rate, change your name with the airline to save a hassle.
