FH and I have been struggling with where to go on our honeymoon. We are available to travel the first week of August on, but that is hurricane season for most of the Caribbean.
We have tons of places we want to go... but every time we think about it, concerns about the weather come up.
Did anyone honeymoon in August? Where did you go?

Try aruba, it is out of the hurricane belt.

We were having the same problem. We will be going the second week of August. We originally were going to do Tahiti because its always nice but it just came to tooooooo much money!! We are going to do St. Lucia instead.

im going the 1st-2nd week in august and we're taking a chance on a short cruise to the bahamas and then a land vacay in aruba

Well maybe doing a HM that is not in the Caribbean. Or Aruba since they don't get effected by the hurricane season.

I have been looking at different places... like Hawaii.
I am trying to minimize the flying time, plane transfers, etc.
I also don't know a lot about Hawaii....

We went to St. Lucia the first week in August. Although there is a possibility of a hurricane hitting there, bc it is so far south it is unlikely. Also, the threat of a hurricane is not as great in the beginning of August as it is towards the end, or in September.

Aruba is wonderful and out of the hurricane belt...or you could pick a carribean island and get travel insurance...europe is an option too - we're going to the greek isles

i went to the bahamas in august and it was beautiful..... and also aruba you can go anytime...

Along with Aruba, there's Bonaire and Curacao ...they are all known as the 'ABC' islands and all under the hurricane belt like some girls already said. My friend came back from Curacao and really enjoyed it. And of course, Aruba is known to be amazing!
In addition to Europe like someone said, South America like Brazil might be really cool.

Definitey try Aruba - they are outside the hurricane belt. Try the Bucuti Beach Resort - they cater to honeymooners and it's an amazing place...

we went to puerto vallarta Mexico for our hm last august...it was BEAUTIFUL all day long and then at about 6pm it would pour but we didnt care bc by then we were eating dinner and hanging out inside but every single day the weather was gorgeous up until about 6pm
