i have a question. a friend of mine is having her second shower this weekend and i have been totally behind in getting her gift. her registry is almost completed and i need some help...
has anyone put together a honeymoon gift bag? i was thinking of getting her a beach bag, waterproof disposable camera's, sunscreen, books...maybe a gift card for lingerie....
anyone have ideas????

Does she have a honeymoon registry? Or, if you know her travel agency, you can call them and arrange something through them (like paying for a romantic dinner for two on their honeymoon or an excursion paid for or something).
If not, you can make up a gift card of your own and include a check with the funds specifically meant to go towards a couple's massage or dinner on the beach or something like that! Then you can put it in a basket with honeymoon-y stuff like you mentioned to make a nice presentation out of it!

she doesn't have a honeymoon registry, and she's from rochester, so i don't know her TA. but thanks for the ideas!!!

Love that idea ~ I love the off the registry gifts...
I did this for a friend once...it becomes a VERY expensive gift. I got her a cute toiletry bag and filled it with travel size deoderants and shaving creams and tooth pastes, etc. Also got sunscreens, a travel guide on her HM destination, flip flops, just married t-shirts, the waterproof throw away cameras, etc.
Here is a really cute bag that I got myself for my HM...
Where are they going...maybe a travel guide for the place they are going...

i started getting stuff today and it is an expensive gift!! but it's fun and i got her some great stuff...so hopefully she'll love it!!!

I did one for my sister!
I got her a tote that said 'just married' and inside it I put:
*just married flip-flops for her FI & her *Groom boxers & t-shirt *I got her a terry cloth halter dress and embroidered it to say 'Mrs. Michel Est. July 2, 2006' * 2 mini bottles of champagne w/ plastic flutes *aloe & sunscreen *underwater camera *a 'bride' tank-top * 2 towels *a mini-fan

I did it! I ordered a bag from LL Bean and them monogram it w/ new last name. then two beach towels, aloe vera, sun lotion, and bath and body works! Such a great gift!
