Honeymoon Help

My FH's gift to me is our honeymoon, which I didn't think we were able to do. Here are my choices, please let me know what you would pick - thanks!!!:

St. Lucia
Sandals Grand St. Lucian Resort
OR
Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort

Aruba
Westin Resort
OR
Rui Palace

tough choice!

I have heard girls raveeee about St. Lucia

Ive been to Aruba but only on a cruise never at a resort
never been to St. Lucia

is one of them cheaper than the other?
or is the weather better at one of the islands at that particular time of the year?

maybe one of those can be your deciding factors!

The only thing is, I would like to go to an adults only resort for my honeymoon so I am leaning towards St. Lucia. I just don't understand the difference between resorts. I mean yes, they tell you, one has 7 bars and the other 10 but is that really the only difference? They are so much a like.

July is hurricane season. Aruba would be a safer bet IMO because it's out of the hurricane belt.

Both are beautiful and amazing places (I've heard). We are going to Aruba because of hurricane season.

I've heard great things about Occidental and Marriott too. We are staying at the Marriott.

If you go to Sandals St. Lucia you can use all the facilities of all 3 Sandals no matter which one you stay at. I haven't been there but Jet Blue now has some direct flights there!


We went to Aruba. (We stayed at the Hyatt and had the breakfast included. It was great!) Although the Riu is beautiful, I think you are probably better off staying at the Westin. You'll save money by not doing all inclusive because it's safe to go outside the resort. There are tons of restaurants and bars and clubs. We met couples out at the bars at night who stayed at the all inclusives and they were spending a fortune because they were spending extra to go out.

Go on Tripadvisor.com and look at reviews for all the resorts. You'll learn a lot by hearing what other ppl are saying about these places.

what type of people are you? Are you ok sitting and relaxing the entire time or are you interested in doing some physical activities like ziplining and stuff?

If your relaxing people then I'd say either St. Lucia or Aruba. BUT if your not then I'd suggest St. Lucia. I've heard that althuogh Aruba is beautiful there isn't much to do there aside from relaxing.
