I think we're using Liberty Travel. They were great when we booked our Turks and Caicos trip a few years ago.

YES - for the cruise... I'm fairly certain that ANY cruise you go on now a days you need the passport b/c you go into international waters, even if it is just to the US Virgin Islands... but I could be wrong. FH and I do cruises every other summer with my family to bermuda, bahamas, etc, and those you DEF need the passport for. Regardless of whether or not you do decide to def go there or elsewhere, you should apply for your passport now anyway. It's $110 plus postage fees, but they are good for 10 years! It can take really long to get unless you go to Connecticut for the immediate passports and those lines will take you all day.

The passport makes things sooo much easier, you might decide when you look at the cruises that you want to go to PR, or Jamaica, or one of the Carribean islands, lol...... FH & I just renewed ours for next summer, thinking that it was going to take FOREVER to get them back (since when my cousin & bro applied for theirs it took literally 4 months) but it only took a week and a half. They did theirs a few years ago when 9/11 was still fresh and everything much stricter, it might not be so bad now.
