Honeymoon Help

Hello Ladies, I haven't been on here in forever just due to life happening

Either way, the plans are coming along relatively smoothly until...the honeymoon

Originally it was Hawaii all the way, then we really started looking into the price of things and kind of got turned off . Not to mention with everything that's going on w/ Japan right now I don't know how that may affect the seafood, etc. So Hawaii cancelled itself out.

Then we were ready to book Costa Rica-anybody who's ever gone has had an awesome time, it is dirt cheap in comparison to Hawaii, the flight is half of Hawaii and you get Volcanoes, a zip line, rainforest terrain to check out...sounds perfect for us. Problem being one of my girlfriends pointed out that November is the tail end of their rainy season-she and her hubs went for their anniv and had 5 out of 7 days of rain

So now we're looking into The Caribbean by default. The weather is decent at that time of the year but there are so many different possibilities we don't know where to land! I know Aruba is gorgeous all the time but there isn't much to do besides vegging and gambling-not that there's anything wrong w/ that but we want a little bit more variety. Then there's St. Lucia which totally has stuff to do, is a bit more expensive than Aruba overall but all people do on trip advisor is complain about the bugs. UGH, I really don't know what to go with...I just want this...

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Honeymoon Help

i am west indian and there are bugs everywhere in the Caribbean!!!!!!!

st.lucia and aruba is not that bad with the bug problem. and they mostly come out at night or during rain season.

aruba is a great place to go. granted there are not that many sightseeing adventures but they have a great night life. you can even venture of the resort (something you cant do in st. lucia)

have you looked into the Dominican Republic?

FH and I are going to Antigua. Its the only island we haven't been too so I don't have that much feedback for you.

Why don't you check out an all-inclusive.

We're going to Playa Mujeres, and I've read excellent reviews... might be something to check out.

Re: Honeymoon Help

we went to aruba and had a great time... we always found something to do, and it was really nice just to relax... there are some really nice restaurants there too... honestly, you don't realize it but after the wedding you are going to be so exhausted and drained from everything that we were so happy to just relax on the beach and at the pool... i'm so glad we didn't go there and have excursions and stuff planned already cause it was wonderful to just relax and take everything day by day
