Im starting to look into places and need some help....
1. How far in advance did you book? 2. Has anyone been to St. Lucia? 3. If yes, where did you stay and did you love it? 4. If not, where did you go/stay and did you love it?
MOST IMPORTANT...DID YOU USE A TRAVEL AGENT OR JUST BOOK ALONE? DID YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HONEYMOON ADD ONS?

We booked 9 months in advance with liberty travel and they were great. Took care of everything for us, including our tickets for our activities and tours. I've never been to st lucia so I can't help you there unfortunately

you can look as far in advance as you want, but most airlines wont book until 320 days before take off and hotels book 12 months in advance too.
I decided to book with a TA bc i am traveling to a few diff destinations and wanted to have transfers etc set up for me. If your plan is to go to one place and stay I think you can book yourself

we booked the air a year before -- as soon as they were available on the site because we wanted to use our 2-4-1 certificate for first class and they go fast.
we called the hotel 9 months before and booked over the phone because the website did not go into 2012 yet.. so annoying!

If you're looking into sandals I booked online (going to Antigua though). I didn't see the need for a TA.

I know a ton of people who went to St. Lucia for HM and they LOVED it. We went for one day only during a cruise once- and it's paradise... I don't see how you could possibly have a bad time!

We went to St Lucia in January and loved it. We stayed at Sandals Grande St Lucian.

Hey - we went Nov 2010 (over Thanksgiving week) and stayed at the Grande. Booked the flight first probably in June I think it was. Did it through the travel agent by St. Hedwigs...all she really helped with was watching the flights so we could get the direct flights.
Absolutely loved it!! Plenty of things to do in the complex and a bunch off. We did ziplining and the catamaran tour.
