Re: Honeymoon help
Excellence Playa Mujere was amazing. Totally don't need the excellence club. It is just north of Cancun and gorgeous relaxing.

Re: Honeymoon help
The Riu hotels tend to be reasonable depending on where you stay. I went to one in Cabo San Lucas and it was wonderful. The higher end Riu was right next door and truthfully I liked ours a lot better.

Re: Honeymoon help
We did a mini moon in the DR at the Excellence Resorts and it was unreal! Adults only...9 restaurants...swim up room...private patio...swim up bar...the works!! It took about 3 hours to get there by plane and was just so very relaxing. We're doing our longer honeymoon over Christmas vacation to Sandal St. Lucia (I never remember which one), but we cannot wait to go back to the DR!

Re: Honeymoon help
First, consider the time of year. If you are honeymooning in August, you will find great deals because it is the rainy season. These 'deals' come out approx 6 months before.
If you don't want to deal with the rainy season then Aruba or Cabo San Lucas, Mexico would be the way to go. Not sure about 'couples only' in these locations.
Turks & Caicos is OUT if you want reasonably priced all inclusive. I've priced every hotel on Providenciales. I had to switch to a different Island because of the prices. (and some other reasons)
Mexico and Jamaica would probably be the LEAST expensive. Also consider the airfare to these places.
DR has very good deals on couples only resorts but I believe the airfare is a little high.
Sandals sometimes runs specials 65% off. Even with that special, it can be expensive.
As someone else mentioned, RIU in Cabo is AWESOME but not for couples only.

My MIL's friend does travel, so I booked through them. DH and I wanted to go all out - so we booked the excellence club and the two story room. I believe every room has a jacuzzi tub.
We met old people there who have traveled to many all-inclusives and they said this was by far the best.
EDIT: Also- it's ADULT's only, which was a selling point for our HM

This is where we are going so excited! We got a great deal 3$ for a week with air fare!
