Hey girls! So my wedding is October 2012 and I am trying to look into honeymoon places. It's only going to be about 6 nights/7 days so we definitely dont want to spend too much time traveling (like Hawaii) Also, since its October its hurricane season. We were looking into Aruba or St Lucia possibly. Does anyone have any recommendations..the good the bad the ugly? Or how much you think a honeymoon should really cost? I spoke to a travel agent and I'm just not sure if she's trying to make us go places where she gets perks if we book and what not. Just wanted to see what other brides have done/are doing. Thanks!!

We just came back from our HM in Aruba - stayed at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort - it was amazing. The hotel is very small, very romatic and very quiet and laid back. The beach is beautiful, the service was wonderful and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is never an issue about getting lounges on the beach or by the pool - no matter what time you get there. Most of the people there were there for their HM or celebrating an anniversary. Aruba is out of the hurricane belt so you dont really have to worry in October. I stayed at the Radisson - 2 years in a row and am contemplating my third. Its only 4 1/2 hours by plane so its not too long.
