Honeymoon Help!

Ok, so Michael & I are going to Hawaii from 6/22/14-7/6/14. We plan to spend the first week in my aunt's timeshare in Maui & then a hotel in oahu the next week. Now I normally do not use a travel agent for our vacations but I just feel like for our honeymoon we should just because neither of us have traveled to Hawaii before.

Two Questions:
Can I use a travel agent to help plan my flights (including the connections between islands) and the hotel in oahu even though I wont need them to book the maui part?

if yes, do any of you have travel agent recommendations? preferably someone who has booked a hawaii trip for you, but any would so I suppose.

Re: Honeymoon Help!

I don't see why they won't book, no harm in asking.

I don't recommend Liberty Travel. I had a horrible experience and it definitely is one of my wedding regrets.
Don't use Mesa air. Old planes and delays.
I did like Outrigger Reef on the beach in Oahu.

Try looking into Hawaiian air. You can fly direct from JFK to HON, take an inter island flight to Maui and then from Maui to JFK (with a stop-over in LAX).

Honeymoon Help! - Long Island Weddings

I think that if you have booked trips in the past that you are better off researching it yourself and booking it yourself. In the past I feel like travel agents push flights and hotels that they will benefit from by you booking them. I agree with the above posts that Hawaiian Air is the way to go! I haven't stayed at the Outrigger but I've had dinner there and it's in a great location. Tripadvisor has never let me down for finding a great hotel. If you feel more comfortable booking with a travel agent I don't see why they wouldn't book all your flights for you.
