Honeymoon help please

Hi girls, im an 07 bride. I am looking for some advise from you newlyweds. We have decided to go either to Aruba or Mexico for our honeymoon. If any of you went to either place can you please give me some details on where you stayed and what there was to do around the hotels. So far we are looking at
Mexico:
Royal Hideaway
Secrets
Excellence

Aruba:
Occidental
I heard great reviews about the hyat but want all inclusive.

I changed my destination several times -- two of which were Secrets in Mexico and Occidental in Aruba.

Here's what I know now:

Secrets is changing owners. I'm not sure how that will change things. It seems pretty vague at this point.

Occidental -- they underwent (or still are) major renovations. They were supposed to be done last January, but as of late spring of 06, they still weren't done. If I were you, I'd look into that.
