My FH and I have a good idea of what we want but are having serious problems trying to find it!!
OK-- so we don't want to go to: Jamaica, DR, Mexico, or Hawaii, No cruises either (we've been on 3 together)
We really want an all inclusive. The problem is that most are in the places that we don't want to go to!! Also....we don't want a 10 hour plane ride.
I've been looking on Tripadvisor over and over but I figured you ladies could help!!!
Also 5k budget including airfare makes this even harder!
Any suggestions, photos, etc. would be SO helpful!!

Have you looked at St. Lucia? We're staying at Sandals Grand Resort - it's about a 3-4 hr flight, it's absolutely AMAZING, and depending how long you stay and when you go, you should be able to keep it at 5K which includes EVERYTHING. There's 2 other Sandals resorts there with some varying prices - so I'd definately take a look. I can't wait to go there!

Aruba, Bermuda, Bahamas, Puerto Rico are all pretty close... I was just in Bahamas and saw a Riu...Ive never stayed in one but it looked pretty nice

We're looking into: Turks and Caicos (I think the veranda had reasonable prices, not sure thought) Grenadines Antigua St.Lucia

i've heard great things about sandals. I originally didn't want to go that route, but we ended up going with it! We are very excited for trying an all inclusive!!
Jamaica has Sandals i believe.

ARUBA most def and you can find flights and hotel online at one of those websites for under your budget!!!

I'm officially addicted to the veranda in t&c. BEAUTIFUL, great reviews on trip advisor, all inclusive, found nonstop affordable flights. now I just need to sell my fh on it!!!

FH and I got engaged in the DR this summer! Excellence Punta Cana!! IT was AMAZING!!!
Check it out!!! Its all inclusive, food is good, resort is gorgeous and service is wonderful!!!!

Bahamas, St Lucia, Aruba. FH was all about not going to Mexico or Jamaica, but I convinced him that we can go to Mexico. Our budget is the same. We were looking at Sandals in the Bahamas but once we actually saw it on Google earth, we didn't think it was worth the money. St Lucia is supposed to be a gorgeous place to go, but it costs much more to go there. You can def do it, but you won't get a fancy suite there with 5k.

i think DR and Jamaica should be in your budget. I stayed here in DR and it was great (i was there 4 yrs ago though so no promises how it is now).
Aruba all the way. I'm a pretty avid traveler so I've been all over the Caribbean. FM if you want any specific info.

yeah we don't want Mexico b/c we are afraid of getting sick, lol. We want a stress free carefree vaca!! lol. Whatever you book, check tripadvisor!! with caution, lol. Everyone has their own opinions but you can get a good feel for a place based on ta. Good luck!!

This a million times! This is where we're going! my dentist just returned from there and said it was AMAZING (and he has 'champagne tastes.') The reviews are amazing. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
