FH & I are trying to decide where to go on our honeymoon!
We don't have a lot of specifics that we're looking for -- just a place we can relax ... and all-inclusive preferably!
So far we are leaning towards Sandals .... either the Grande St. Lucian or Negril in Jamaica
Jamaica is less and has a direct flight ... we would probably book a nicer room ... but FH said that people go to Jamaica for Spring Break, and he isn't sure that's where our Honeymoon should be
St. Lucia is more , and there would be a layover in our flights in Puerto Rico. But they have more things to do there, and you can use the facilites & restaurants at the other 2 Sandals resorts on the island for free.
We are open to other suggestions, we don't travel a lot so this is kind of hard for us to figure out!

they both sound great!
i honestly think you'd be fine with either one you choose... but if the money is a bit of an issue, then go with jamaica.... even if kids go on spring break there, you will be at sandals which is a couples only resort, so i feel like that shouldn't be too much of a problem.. but if you're worried about not having anything to do, then it sounds like you should go with st. lucia...
either way, it's your honeymoon! it will be great

I think either would be great! We were thinking of doing Sandals but then at the last second my TA found a great deal at an all inclusive in the DR so we are going there instead. I did want to go to St. Lucia for a long time!

I voted for St. Lucia. I've never been but one of my BM's just got back and said it was the BEST vacation she has ever had. She almost regretted going bc now she doesn't know where to go for her HM. She's afraid nothing can compare to it.

We just booked the Sandals Grande St Lucia, so you can guess which one I'm voting for! St. Lucia just looks so beautiful. We definitely want to go on one of the nature tours.
Can't wait to go. It just looks so beautiful, and I've heard such wonderful things. And if you book now you get a $250 gift certificate to the spa! I'm looking forward to using that. We also get a set of Waterford glasses. Not bad. I didn't put wine glasses on my registry, and now I don't have to.

my MOH went to St. Lucia through sandles and had a blast. She said the excursions were amazing. If i was choosing a beach vacation this would be what i would pick. Just dont think to pure white Irish lads 1 of which cant swim would enjoy it as much. Good luck.

I voted for St. Lucia even though ive never been there ive heard its amazing. i have though been to jamaica and imo its not really a HM destiniation. Its dirty, dangerous, and you cant even leave the hotel. Its cheaper for that very reason.

We're going to the Couples Swept Away Resort in Ocho Rios, it's couples only, all inclusive and affordable! We're going Monday to Saturday for less than 3K. XOXOXO Kitty

Did you check out Couples Swept Away in Negril? Our TA recommended it and it looks amazing! It's a similar deal to Sandals, but I've seen many reviews where people prefer it over Sandals.

I agree. I also voted for st. lucia. Jamaica is not really a great vacation spot IMO. I've been 4 times and its NOT safe. If you go, be prepared to spend the ENTIRE time on hotel grounds. Its a totally different world when you leave the hotel...
I've heard nothing but amazing things about St. Lucia. I havent been, but I know a few friends who have and came back raving about it!
