Honeymoon help!!!...repost from HM

Hi ladies,
FH and I originally wanted to book a mediterranean cruise for our HM, but couldn't find any convenient sail dates on cruise lines we were familiar with (only costa cruise and mcs were available-never even heard of them before!)

Another option was a 7 day cruise to Grand Cayman, Belize, Cozumel, and Costa Maya, Mexico, then 7 days in Disney.

Does anyone know if those places are affected by hurricanes during that period of time (8/20-9/2)? And if so, any other recommendations of destinations? TIA!!!!!

That's during hurricane season so they can definitely be affected. FH and I went on a similar cruise last November and we weren't able to take any of our stops in Mexico because of the hurricane. My mother also has a time share in Grand Caymen and it got destoyed by a hurricane.

Last year was the worst season on record, hopefully this year will be mild.

I'd be careful of the Carribean in November- it's technically still hurricane season. SOme of those ports like Cozumel and Grand Caymen may still have some damage from the big storms last year.

My parents went on a Costa cruise. They loved it. They're supposed to be really nice. I think they're big in Europe.

if you're going on a cruise i don't think you need to be quite as concerned about hurricanes, as the ship can always switch its itinerary to steer clear of a storm.

My parents said the Costa Cruise was full of Europeans. They said the majority of the boat, was up most of the night dancing and drinking and having a great time.
