My dad is giving us his timeshare as a gift at Marriott. We will have to use it as points because the only Marriott vacation club in the carribean is in Aruba and that is the only place I have been to outside of the US and I want to try something different.
These are our options:
Cancun St. Kitts St. Thomas
Where would you go? I'm leaning towards St. Kitts, but I'm really afraid of getting on one of those tiny planes.
I know cancun is a lot of fun...anyone been to the 2 other places? What are they like?
Also...right now airfare to cancun is $600pp...is that high? It sounds like it to me!

I would go with St. Thomas or St. Kitts. More romantic than Cancun IMO.

Definitely St. Thomas/St. Kitts...I've never been but I've been to Cancun and it just doesn't seem like a place to honeymoon...IMO.

The reason we are thinking about Cancun is because we like to do a lot on vacation, not just sit on the beach and I know that Cancun would be great for that.
Anyone been to either of the islands? Is there a lot to do?

Cancun is too much a party atmosphere for a honeymoon......go for the more romantic islands...

All my family jokes that St. Thomas is the shopping meca of the world. There is so much to do in St. Thomas and the island is beautiful. Also I agree with the other girls I think Cancun is more of a party atmosphere. The Cancun airfare is probably high now because it is the summer and alot of kids off college go to Cancun in the Summer.
