Honeymoon Ideas needed/Sandals?

Honeymoon Ideas needed/Sandals?

FH and I are looking into honeymoons for June 1st. Not into partying too much. I tend to like All Inclusives on a tropical island with beautiful, beaches where I can snorkle and grounds that are peaceful. I'd like to stay in a room with a bit of luxury for once too. FH loves his food!

Sandals in Antigua looked really nice but all Sandals seem expensive. Thought about Costa Rica with excursions to the hanging bridges an active volcano, hot springs but I don't know about the Pacific Ocean being all that great and it boasts surfing! Yikes. No snorkeling there or am I wrong? Anyone ever been to Costa Rica's Northern Pacific side?

Anyone recommend something less expensive than Sandals? Not into a cruise for some reason. I am looking forward to some nice accomodations, beach and gardens. /B]

Thanks all.

Sandals is very expensive. We looked into that too. I was def gonna suggest Cancun. its beautiful and you can def find all inclusive there. The palace resorts are great. Like Cancun Palace, Beach Palace, Moon Palace or Sun Palace. And whats nice is that if you stay at one you can go to any of them and hang for the day. Try talking to a travel agent too. Sometimes they can get a little better deals for you that we cant online

yay i can comment on 3 bc we've been to all 3!!1
lol

- sandals antigua - amazing service, amazing food, great ambiance, beach...just ok, island... boring...would we go back probably not

- cancun - dreams - amazing service, amazing food, family oriented (not many children though), amazing beach, pool, room, everything was great.... took some excursions outof the hotel which were fun but overpriced and super far!!!

- costa rica - omg best vacation of our lives!!!! we spent a week at the occidental grand and the room, service, food was just ok; however CR is jsut amazing, there is so much to do, and everything is so close! we traveled to a diff beach everyday , spent a night at a volcano/hot springs resort, ate GREAT food (outside the hotel)

If you're considering a less pricey all-inclusive alternative to Sandals, what about Riu? It's not couples only, but it's not a bad option.

I LOVED Costa Rica and would highly recommend visiting a few areas in the country to get a better experience there. FM me for more info.

Sandals is pricey-but i've been to 3 of their resorts and i have never been dissapointed. they have some really good sales 60% off rates.
