Although I haven't been there yet, I'm going to Aruba. Two of my friends stayed at the Marriott Renaissance Resort (which is where I'm staying) and raved about it.
It has 2 pools, one of which has a swim up bar, I believe it was just renovated 3 or 4 years ago, has carpet in the rooms, and several restaurants on location.
And if you're going for your honeymoon, it's out of the hurricane belt.
They even have their own small private beach. A shuttle boat takes you there from the hotel (I think it comes every hour or more often than that).

I am going to agree with CJ. Marriott in Aruba. My cousins go every year and love it! I am going in 2.5 weeks but we are staying at a private hotel with only 250 rooms. FH likes it that way!

FI and I just got back from Sandals in Jamaica. It was out of this world! We are thinking about doing the Sandals St Lucia, b/c we heard that is even nicer.

Bahamas is also very nice. FI and I stayed at the Atlantica a few years back when we first started dating.

we went to Aruba & stayed at the Hyatt! we loved it. the hyatt will meet all your expectations & more.. they just completed renovations & it is a beautiful hotel. Most of the time we had dinner at the hotel because all the restaurants were great. the swim up bar in the pool was a blast!! i kept swimming up for some margaritas

The Hyatt made us feel like King & Queen the whole week!!

I even convinced a co-worker to go Aruba for her honeymoon this month. I don't think you will be disappointed!!

ARUBA, ARUBA, ARUBA

We stayed at the Westin and loved it but it did not have a swim up bar.

Also check out the RIU which was right next door to the Westin.

Just check a bunch of different hotels on the strip in Aruba and see which one you like best.

ARUBA has the best food ever and it is a very safe island and almost all the locals speak english
