Re: Honeymoon in Antigua
We actually went 2 weeks ago to price Sandals in Antigua. It looks soooo nice. They have private rondavals (spelling?) and they each have a private pool! It's well over $10 though!

Re: Honeymoon in Antigua
Only if you book that private rondaval. For a nice room it was like $7000.

Yeah, that was also for 10 days too, and she kind of estimated airfare bc they didn't have flights yet for Nov of 09

Re: Honeymoon in Antigua
Well I guess that will be out of the question.. FH's parents were going to pay for it. And I wouldnt have that be an option... Unless... We could pay half or something. OOH thats an Idea!!!

Re: Honeymoon in Antigua
If you book Sandals Antigua, book a room in the new Meditteranean Village. The larger pool is near here and so is the Italian restaurant which is one of the better ones (open for breakfast too) The other rooms are OLD (including the rondovals) and need a major overhaul.
There are other nicer resorts on Antigua, try looking at them if you have your heart set on Antigua for a honeymoon. I was not impressed by Sandals at all for my HM and had a long discussion with the general manager of the resort. Too many problems during our stay, but we made the best of it and vowed never a Sandals again.

You should look into the Galley Bay Resort in Antigua.
It was rated very well on tripadvisor.com.

Re: Honeymoon in Antigua
That's supposed to be a really nice resort. I was torn between that one and St. James Club. I ended up with St. James Club because I wasn't crazy about sleeping in a hut. I think it should be nice if you are ok with that.
