FH & I are thinking about having our honeymoon in Aruba at the RIU resorts...
Has anyone else booked their honeymoon there?

Re: Honeymoon in Aruba?
I just got back from Aruba 2 weeks ago! Riu is nice, if you like all inclusive... also check out the occidental!
If you dont want all inclusive then def do the Hyatt!

I think we've narrowed the list down to either Aruba or Antiqua. I think FH is favoring Aruba...

Re: Honeymoon in Aruba?
We booked the Riu for our April Honeymoon
I wanted to stay at the Hyatt or the Marriott
Only problem I came to was that the Hyatt was the same price as the Riu for the week we were staying and all we were getting at the Hyatt was a room.
We are not going to eat at the Riu every night because we want to try all those amazing places other LI brides have eaten at.
Also as a side note when I booked the price was 4200 for 7 nights. I checked the price last night and it was 4038 for 7 nights. I called the 888 number and was able to get a price adjustment [so far I love the RIu LOL]

Do Aruba... it's below the hurricane belt and you're getting married in the height of hurricane season. Two of my friends stayed at the Riu and LOVED it. They got cool suites with spas on their balcony... so cool!

Thanks, thats awesome that they adjusted the trip for you. I wasn't really thinking about it but i should probably look to book HM sooner then later. I'm sure everyone else is also planning their vacations/honeymoons. FH is all about the HM so i'm starting my search this month.

We booked the riu and didn't have to pay anything up front. We only left the credit card number. That is the only reason we did it so soon. The airline tickets are another story LOL
