is there was anyone out there who's been to Barcelona, Spain?
any suggestions on what to do?
where's honeymooning there and spending a day in Paris.

whatver udo - fly to paris - we took the train from barcelona to paris and it was a nightmare. Barcelona is a beaultiful city - lots of great sight seeing opportunities and restaurants on the water. If you love mosaics - the city is full of it. It's also very easy to get around on public transportation. We stayed in the gothic area, which was beautiful.

i studied abroad in Spain and have been to Barcelona twice. AMAZING idea for a honeymoon! There are tons of beaches if that's your thing, and the food is excellent - so many gorgeous, romantic places right on the water. You could try to see some shows at night - there are tons done for tourists that are not bad at all, with Spanish music and dancing. Nightlife is great - people stay out at bars / clubs till the sun comes up. Or for something more laid-back, it's just a beautiful WEIRD city to walk around in (you'll have tons to talk about!).
You have to have to have to take the bus to the Parc Guell - it was built by Gaudi to be a residence but was so strange no one wanted to live there. It's on a hill so you get gorgeous views and there are crazy fountains, sculptures, etc. around and even a few gingerbread houses. If your an America's Next Top Model fan, that's where they had the final runway show with the 'corpse brides'.

And here's a house designed by Gaudi that you can tour around in and go up to the roof of (no one lives there now and it's a popular tourist spot).
I told you Barcelona was weird!
BTW, I've been to Paris 3 times and it's one of my favorite cities in the world. Definitely the most romantic place I've ever been. If you only have one day, spend it strolling around and eating in cafes. Hit the Musee D'Orsay if you like art. But don't try to pack in too much like going to the top of the Eiffel Tower or seeing the Louvre - if you only have one day you want to experience Paris, not wait in line all day.
