I am trying to book through Expedia and there are so many hotels! and they all look so similar. Does anyone have any hotel advice for these cities? I tried guidebooks, but the expedia hotels don't usually match up.
Anyone ever heard of Hotel Donna Laura Palace Rome or Barcelona Princess?
I have no idea what is good, what is not.
Do you have any insight?

We're staying in Barcelona the night before our cruise starts and we're staying at the Hilton.

I don't know about the hotels. But I have to say i LOVE Barcelona. it's so romantic and beautiful and I wish i could move there. I went with a bunch of friends on spring break several eyars ago and I'd love to go again. We staed at the hisperia san just, which I wouldn't really recommend because it's far from all of the attractions.
