FH and I are def looking for a place where we can do more than just sit at the beach... we can do that for one or maybe two days and after that I know we'll be boredddd.

Re: Honeymoon - Jam packed or relaxed?
We would get totally bored sitting on a beach for a week....We want a good combo of relaxation and activities. We are going to Jamaica and most likely staying at Couples Swept Away. They include scuba diving, waterskiing, sailing, etc...We also plan to do a few tours...possibly a zipline tour, ganja field tour, water falls, cliff diving, and rafting...

Definitely in between. We're not beach bums but we dont want to have such a busy honeymoon that we're exhausted when we come home!

Re: Honeymoon - Jam packed or relaxed?
we just got back from St. Lucia and I'd say our trip was mainly relaxing. the fact that it was all inclusive really contributed to that bc we didnt have to worry about anything.
our transfer from the airport to the hotel was taken care of (and included), we stayed in one room and didnt have to hop from location to location, we didnt have to worry about doing anything at a particular time (except for the candlelit dinner on the beach we scheduled, and dinner off-site at other resorts that req'd taking a shuttle at a particular time). i loved being able to make my own schedule and do what i wanted.
we did spend most of our days in the pool at the swim up bar, but we also went jet skiing, sailing, a mini excursion -- hiking up a mountain w/ a mini booze cruise, and we could have done more things if we wanted.
after worrying about so many wedding details i just wanted to be able to relax and do whatever i wanted. however, we want to do an italy trip as a 1 year anniv/post-bar exam trip, and that will be the total opposite -- lots of planning, moving around and out of pocket expenses. DH is in charge there

Re: Honeymoon - Jam packed or relaxed?
FH can't sit on a beach for 10 days so we are splitting our HM up. I think we are either going to Costa Rica or Belize and we are going to spend 4 days doing rain forest/jungle stuff and then the rest on the water scuba diving and relaxing.

Prolly a mix of both...if we just sit around doing nothing all week we'll be totally BOREDDD!! ha. But, if we do TOO much, then we'll be TIRED when we get back! HAHA We'll prolly do things during the day and take it easy at night. :)

I think we are going to do a little of both. We are planning on going to Hawaii and we fell like when are we going to be in Hawaii again so we might as well. Hawaii has a lot of different things to do that you can't really do anywhere else.

Re: Honeymoon - Jam packed or relaxed?
well we booked a cruise so we're going to be doing a lot of activities. we'd kinda get bored just lying on a beach towel for 2 weeks, but then again, we both have a touch of ADD lol

we are doing a little of both. We are going on a cruise, so we can relax while we are at sea and then staying at a resort for three days after the cruise, so plenty of relaxing there. and during the cruise and ports we are going to do excurisons

Re: Honeymoon - Jam packed or relaxed?
We are trying to plan a LOT of relaxing and bumming on different beaches while in Spain & Greece for 2 weeks. We havent booked it yet, but we chose these places bc we will hop around to different parts- alternating the beachy & toury experiences.
One reason why we dindt choose Italy was because it was too hectic for us. meaning that there is soooooo much that we both want to see in Italy and we were afraid that relaxation would not happen. As much culture that there is in both Spain & Greece, it does allow for us to bum around a lot...
Im just sooo excited to go away!!

make sure to do the cave tubing excursion if you go to Belize! you walk through the rainforest, go inner tubing through caves and see bats and cave formations, and then they take you to an authentic Belize lunch spot and you try cashew wine, and then you go back. one of the best things we did on our cruise which stopped there

Re: Honeymoon - Jam packed or relaxed?
we did a mix. We didnt want it too jam packed where we didnt get to relax. But we didnt want to just sit back and relax all day either, and we are not beach people so didnt want that either.
So even though our first stop was spain where there is lots to see we didnt go nuts all day. We slept in late and whenever we got out of the room was fine. We didnt feel we would have to wake up early and go to a million places in one day running around. Each day we would pick one area to go check out. After we'd get out of the room we'd get something to eat. Then we'd walk just taking our time, go check out some sites and do some things. We'd come back to the room sometimes take a nap or just to relax and then get ready to go out to dinner. Again we never rushed to run back out, have nice long dinners and then go out for drinks. I know some people who do go to places like this and feel they have to see so many things in one day and go running around to do it all but it doesnt have to be like that. We did everything at our own pace. Thats also why we didnt want to do any of the tours, such as the tour bus or tour groups.
I like that we were able to see these amazing historical sites, did get to explore a beautiful place. But at the same time we also did get to relax and just enjoy ourselves
in monaco, we'd relax during the day. Take walks and go around but again at our own pace. At night we'd always go out to eat and go to the casino's. So daytime was for relaxing and at night it was more about getting all dressed up and going to nice places
