FH and I are meeting with our travel agent tomorrow morning for the first time to discuss our honeymoon. We're in October, the end of hurricane season. Where else are people going during the hurricane season besides Spain, Italy, Alaska and Aruba?

Go to Bora Bora! there isn't really a hurricane season. At least not that I saw when I researched their weather. Actually October is like the beginning of summer for them.

Ooo! Bora Bora sounds great! :) Right now, my hunch is that we're going to end up in Aruba, which is totally fine by me because I hear its beautiful, but I want to make sure I am loaded with idea! :)

I went to Aruba in Nov & although it's out of the hurrican belt, it's rainy season...and it sure did rain for us in Aruba.

We're taking our chances and going to Mexico. The TA said that with the insurance we bought if the weather report says anything about a tropical storm we can change our plans and go to Aruba or someplace else. We're staying at Excellence Playa Mejures, can't wait!

I am also chancing it and headed to Mexico and staying at the Excellence Playa Mejures. If anything arises, we have the option to change our destination and go somewhere else. Fingers crossed that this will not happen!!!

we are postponing our honeymoon for a couple of reasons: the first is that i finally got a position in a school and i can't really take too much time off so we want to wait until the summer so we can go for at least 2 weeks... second is the weather... we couldn't find anywhere tropical that didn't bring the threat of rain with the exception of hawaii...

we finally decided on Maui.
Our choices were that and curacao and aruba or an alaskan cruise. I have been to aruba a TON of times and it is georgous! my family may move there one day! lol.

We are doing Puerta Vallarta Mexico because it's on the western coast and supposedly is not in hurricane zone!
