Couples Jamaica. FH and I are slurging a bit on the HM with a beachfront suite and a honeymoon add on package but you can definitely get a week's vacay there for less than $3k

I went with a couple of friends a few years ago to Jamaica and for a 5 night ALL-INCLUSIVE stay and flight was $700 a person. It would have been cheaper if i booked a week sooner. I did it through expedia.

cruise, DR or Mexico as long as its not Mexico city you should be fine

Mexico is fine in the resort towns like Cabo, Cancun, Riviera Maya.

CRUISE !!! That's what we are doing - and for under 3k on the newest ship with a balcony room

My parents just got back from a Mexican cruise - no issues :)
