I just repriced my honeymoon on expedia and its almost 1000 cheaper than when we booked. I booked with a TA. I sent her an email with the screen shots of the sale prices. Anyone ever go through this ?

Re: HOneymoon price question
we have not gone through this but when we booked with our TA we have to pay the airfare in full, then for our hotels we left a small deposit. he held the places and days for us at a specific price. he told us that he would check every so often and if the price goes down he will cancel what we have and rebook the dates (wont lose the deposit). but you found this on an outside website, they might be able to match, but not sure since you already booked. Re: HOneymoon price question
We did and our TA will price match. If you find the hotel rates directly through the hotel they will change it no problem. If you find it through a site like expedia, travelocity or something like that they will price match but make you pay for your trip in full. I think they make you do that so that you won't keep changing and they won't have to do the work a 1000 times. We found our cheaper rates on the hotels sites so it worked out ok for us.

Re: HOneymoon price question
We booked Sandals a few months ago and recently it was like $800 cheaper so she was able to change the price.
But we found airfare for like $500 cheaper and she wasn't able to change that.

Our TA told us the same thing and never checked once for us. We have been doing the checking since we booked. I would look into it yourself and def let them know if you see something cheaper.

Once you pay the air in full that's it which kind of s u c k s because our airfare went down a lot. At least we both saved money on our hotels!!!

I'm looking and it seems a lot cheaper for us too now. Has anyone had any experience with Travel Tom changing prices when they drop?

Re: HOneymoon price question
My TA actually called me a couple of weeks ago and said the price dropped a couple of hundred dollars so she canceled and re-booked our reservations at the lower rate. She checks for us periodically. Our final payment isn't due until 45 days before the HM and I know she'll keep checking.

Re: HOneymoon price question
My honeymoon decreased DRAMATICALLY from when we booked, like seriously, we are staying in a cabin suite now as opposed to a regular stateroom for LESS than our original booking price!
My TA is a close family friend so she closely monitored and adjusted the pricing for me. I think you should be able to fix it without a problem, ur TA is probably not aware of it yet.

Re: HOneymoon price question
OMG, EPM, right??? Same thing happened to us, we priced it out yesterday and found that is it SO MUCH cheaper now. I guess it is because of the ongoing turmoil in Mexico...?
Did you purchase travel insurance? FH and I did and we plan to call our TA and ask him why we shouldn't just cancel the trip, take the $200 hit and re-book on our own? We'd be saving OVER $1,000 still after taking the $200 travel insurance hit. Hopefully the TA can help us out, but if not, we're going to hvae to re-book on our own because that is A LOT of money to be saving!!!!!!

Re: HOneymoon price question
um, OH MY GOD. I freaking LOVE YOU PEOPLE.
I just checked out some prices and called our TA. Because of the sale we just saved $1600 and change!!!!!! I never would have looked again.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
BTW, check out honeymoonsinc.com and see if your TA will price match. They have the best prices every time. We got the best deal from them in the first place and then $200 less than what our TA was just gonna give us because they price matched!

Re: HOneymoon price question
Oh, and to answer your question, I just called up and she said they were automatically giving people better rates anyway, starting to. But since I called she went ahead and made sure mine was changed.
